Crowdcast

Crowdcast fits a repeatable live-event program where registration, conversation and replay access should stay together. It also supports paid workshops, but compare the full cost of live attendance, streaming hours and payment fees rather than the subscription alone.

  • − Long broadcasts that exceed a plan's per-session or monthly streaming allowance

Honest Limitations

Usage can add to the subscription

Additional live attendees cost $0.15 each beyond the included allowance. Monthly streaming hours and per-session length also differ by plan.

Separate brands need separate subscriptions

Current help says one subscription covers one branded channel. A separately branded channel requires another subscription.

Ticket fees are additional

Lite and Pro charge a 5% platform transaction fee; Business charges 2%. Stripe processing is additional and varies by country and account.

Test the attendee browser mix

One April 2026 G2 user reported trouble on older browsers and some mobile setups. Rehearse with representative audience devices.

Cost at Common Event Sizes

100
attendees
$49
Illustrative one-month Lite total for one free-to-attend session within its two-hour limit and monthly hours; no add-ons or tax.
500
attendees
$109
Same scenario: $49 + 400 additional live attendees × $0.15. Registered non-attendees and replay views are not the measure.
1000
attendees
$184
Same scenario: $49 + 900 × $0.15. This is usage arithmetic, not a claim that Lite includes Business features.

Hidden Costs to Watch

  • ! Live attendance above the allowance is $0.15 per additional attendee.
  • ! Ticketed events add 5% on Lite/Pro or 2% on Business, plus the applicable Stripe fees.
  • ! Extra hours and team seats are recurring add-ons until removed; unused streaming hours do not roll over.

Crowdcast is appealing when a live session is also part of an ongoing audience relationship. Registration, interaction and replay access stay connected, and paid workshops can offer more than one ticket type.

Forecast live attendance and streaming time before comparing plans. Registrations and replay views are different from the live-attendee allowance, and a second branded channel has its own subscription.
