Mobly

Mobly fits a field-marketing team that wants to preserve the conversation as well as the contact. Capturing a badge or typed name, adding context and sending the result to CRM can reduce post-show sorting. The useful test is how reliably the complete record reaches the right owner, including when connectivity or enrichment is imperfect.

Best For
  • + Teams standardising lead capture across several business events
  • + Representatives recording qualification notes alongside contact details
  • + Marketing operations teams using HubSpot or Salesforce for event follow-up
Not For
  • − Organisers primarily needing ticketing or delegate registration
  • − Teams treating enrichment as guaranteed accurate contact information
  • − Buyers requiring a verified public numerical subscription price
Key Capabilities
✓ Capture contacts from badge and business-card photographs
✓ Enter a name and company manually when scanning is unsuitable
✓ Enrich contact records for sales follow-up
✓ Record notes, tags and voice context with the lead
✓ Save captures without internet and upload after reconnection
✓ Sync records and qualification data to supported CRM systems
✓ Review lead activity by event and representative
Honest Limitations

Capture is only the first step

A saved photograph is not the same as a verified contact delivered to CRM. Test uncertain matches, missing emails, duplicates and consent fields rather than adopting a vendor enrichment percentage as a guarantee.

Offline collection needs a later upload

The current capture page explicitly says records are saved without internet and uploaded after reconnecting. Check how staff distinguish local saves, completed enrichment and a successful CRM transfer.

Reviewers wanted clearer booth workflows

John B. in April 2026 wanted to keep several scans open while speaking with a group. Thor C. that month wanted clearer saved-status feedback and more desktop flexibility. Both original G2 accounts are Organic; these are dated individual requests, not confirmed universal current defects.
