Campminder

Campminder suits a camp that needs enrollment data to carry into day-to-day staffing, health forms, cabin groups and travel plans. Start with the suite that covers those operational needs. Parent app features, communications allowances and advanced staffing are meaningful differences between the current packages.

Best For
  • + Camps combining registration and ongoing camper operations
  • + Directors coordinating staff, groups and transport

  • − Camps unable to allocate time to staff training and data configuration
Key Capabilities
✓ Collect online registrations, payments and family forms
✓ Maintain camper and staff records
✓ Manage staff applications and supporting documents
✓ Assign cabins or groups
✓ Coordinate transportation and attendance
✓ Collect health information and produce operational reports
✓ Use suite-dependent mobile forms, parent updates and SMS
Honest Limitations

Suite scope matters

Deluxe adds Campanion forms, push notifications and communication automation. Professional adds staff app access, advanced staffing, analytics and premium parent features.

Included SMS is not a universal unlimited allowance

The suite table lists 10,000 SMS in Deluxe and 20,000 in Professional. Confirm the allowance period, overages and how messages are counted.

The interface needs a real workflow test

Raina S. described the interface as difficult in April 2025 while still finding the camper database useful. A 2021 event-services reviewer valued family self-service. Neither account describes the current 2026 suites in full.

Sensitive records need role-specific rehearsal

Ask staff to demonstrate appropriate access, exports and a connectivity fallback. Cloud-powered attendance and a mobile app do not prove offline operation.

Hidden Costs to Watch

  • ! Ask how enrolled campers, seasonal programs and changing volume affect the quote.
  • ! Confirm processing, messaging overages, custom integrations and premium parent entitlements.
  • ! A quoted suite replaces its lower tier; do not stack three suite prices.

Demonstrate one camper’s journey from application to group assignment and arrival, then repeat it as a parent, registrar and seasonal staff member. The same record should serve those jobs with appropriate permissions.

The fit assessment follows documented product scope. Dated user reviews describe individual experiences; no hands-on test or vendor interview is claimed.
