LASSO Crew Management

LASSO Crew Management is a strong candidate when staffing decisions depend on availability, skills, pay rules and work across several shows. The current offer is modular, so evaluate a defined crew-to-payroll process rather than assuming every product on the LASSO website is included. Its relationship with Shoflo is useful context, but the separately priced Rundown product has a different job.

Best For
  • + Production companies booking mixed freelance and employee crews
  • + Labour coordinators tracking coverage and costs across simultaneous shows
  • + Teams wanting crew documents, time and selected payroll services under one vendor
Not For
  • − Buyers expecting one public flat price for the complete LASSO product family
  • − Show callers whose main requirement is a running order rather than workforce management
  • − Organisations assuming a software configuration itself settles every labour or tax obligation
Key Capabilities
✓ Maintain crew skills, rates, documents and work history
✓ Build labour positions and apply relevant pay and bill rules
✓ Compare availability, booking conflicts and coverage across events
✓ Send invitations and record crew responses in the mobile workflow
✓ Communicate call details with delivery and receipt controls
✓ Collect crew time through the selected tracking configuration
✓ Connect approved labour workflows with separately scoped payroll and travel modules
Honest Limitations

Module scope determines the real offer

Current pricing allows products to be selected separately. Crew, payroll, inventory, financial management and Rundown should each be named in the proposal; a suite navigation menu is not evidence of inclusion.

Initial rules need careful setup

Macy S.’s April 2026 seller-invited G2 review valued concurrent-show booking but described laborious initial setup and tax-quoting complexity. Test representative rates and exceptions before relying on calculated costs.

Review requests may already have changed

Lily S.’s April 2026 account requested communication improvements. The current scheduling page explicitly supports document attachments and receipt controls, so that review is not used to claim attachments are absent today.

Payroll and travel have separate operating terms

Check and AmTrav are documented partners, but availability does not establish geographic coverage, payment fees or inclusion in a crew subscription. Confirm employer responsibilities and every service charge in writing.

Hidden Costs to Watch

  • ! Billing currency, minimum commitment and renewal conditions are not publicly confirmed.
  • ! Ask about implementation, migration and additional locations or crew growth.
  • ! Payroll, travel and payment-related services may have their own agreements and fees.
  • ! A vendor demonstration does not establish a free production trial.
